Okay, so my kitchen looks like a murder scene, but I'm deliriously happy. Thanks to Marcy for the heads up.
I stopped by the grocery store on my way to work today, for a couple reasons. First, it's our big Thanksgiving luncheon at work - we bring salads and desserts and the company provides the rest. And because pomegranates are in season, finally!
We had tons of food for lunch. Turkey, chicken, brisket, links, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, gumbo, rolls, a gazillion kinds of salad, and about a kabillion kinds of dessert. They also put everybody's name in a bowl and gave away door prizes. I got an engraved Cross pen, but traded it for another gift that somebody else got, since I have plenty of pens, and that's what he really wanted. I figured I'd be too full to eat dinner until I remembered the poms...
Yahoo's photo albums are a little messed up right now - I guess they're still in the process of converting everybody to the new and *cough*improved*cough* version, and maybe that's why it's causing problems with those albums showing up in 360. Poor Julie got caught with some guy's pants down in her album, and she's trying to get Yahoo to consider her worthy again, but they just send her automated responses, over and over again. They've apparently even got their little robots calling her at home with the same automated response.
Today is the Great American Smokeout, and ~Sweet~ D said she's up to the challenge. I'll ask her tomorrow if she was successful, she's a little grouchy today. Please drop by her blog and send her a few words of encouragement if you get the chance.
I mentioned last time that I'd gotten a $675 estimate for trimming my three big trees. I found an advertisement for another tree trimming company in a mailer. I usually throw the @#$! junk mail away, but I thumbed through this one. There was a $25 off coupon included, so I gave them a call. They said they could take a look the next day and took all my info. They guy rang my doorbell the next morning before I'd even gotten in the shower, and gave me their price of $300 plus $30 to haul the branches away. He said they can pile them on the curb for the city to pick up instead if I wanted, and he figured I had a $25 off coupon, so it would be $275. Whatadeal. They're going to do the work Monday or Tuesday.
